How do I buy Electricity or Airtime?You will first need to deposit funds into your wallet. Once this is done, you will be able to transact. You can either buy via the online portal or via SMS.
What is a wallet?Your wallet is a virtual account where you deposit funds into and where all transactions are deducted from.
My Mobile Network is not listed?If your mobile network is not on the list it means that you will not be able to purchase airtime. You will still be able to transact. Note: We have experienced some difficulty with regards to FNB Mobile Numbers and recommend use of another provider.
Do I pay any fees?Online transactions do incur a small processing fee. Please Login to the Customer Portal to view current fees or click here.
How do I deposit funds into my Wallet?You can either pay via EFT into one of our bank accounts or via your account using your credit or debit card. Note: Cheque deposits are not accepted and Cash payments incur a fee. We discourage the use of cheque and cash payments.
Is EFT payments immediate?EFT payments can take up to 1 hour to reflect. This is because we first verify the actual deposit before being credited to your account.
Where do I send the Proof of Payment?Although not required, you can send POP's to support@miworldcellular.co.za.
How long before my deposit shows in my wallet?If you pay via EFT and bank with the same bank, deposit will reflect within 1 hour. Should you bank at another bank and did not do a immediate/real time payment then deposit can take upto 3 working days to reflect. Credit/Debit Card is immediate.
Right, I deposited funds and it reflects-now what?Now you are able to transact. You can buy Prepaid Electricity or Airtime (More products added regularly). Products are assigned "short codes" to make purchasing easier.
Can I purchase airtime for someone else?Yes you will be able to, however you will need to login to the Customer Portal to do so.
I want to buy Electricity?Simply sms the short message "MY E + amount to 32015. MY is the access keyword, "E" is for Electricity and amount you require eg R250. SMS will be "MY E 250". You can also purchase via the Customer Portal.
What other short codes are there?These are some of the short codes available: E for Electricity, A for Airtime and D for DSTV Account payments. More product codes will be added soon.
Is the sms to 32015 Free?SMS's sent to 32015 are charged at R1.00 per sms. Free Sms's do not apply
I entered the wrong Meter No?In most cases, should you have entered the wrong meter no and submitted a purchase, the system will detect this and return the transaction as failed. Amount deducted will be added back to your wallet. Please note however, if you entered a wrong but valid meter no we will be unable to refund you or reverse the transaction.
Can I withdraw the money in my wallet?Yes you can!. Simply log in to your account and request "cashout". You can either select normal payment or Express Payment. Normal payment takes uo to 3 workings days to reflect and Express payment within 1 hour. Note Express payments are chargeable @ R8.50 per request.
Are you a direct supplier?No. MiWorld Cellular Service is a 3rd party supplier.
Will I pay a higher fee per Kwh for electricity?Because we are only a 3rd party supplier, we do not set prices for the cost of electricity. Please use the calculator on your account to get an estimate of how many units you will receive. The cost per Kwh is usually market related.
Can I purchase Airtime/Electricity for someone else?Yes you can. Make sure you have the correct information as certain transactions cannot be reversed or refunded.
I did a recharge, but have not received my Electricity Token?Please allow up to 1 hour to receive the sms. Sometimes there are delays or technical errors from the Mobile Networks. Login into your account to get a status report. If transaction was successful, token will reflect. However if failed, transaction will move to the "Failed Transaction" Section. Please email support to query.
Can I buy SMS/DATA bundles?Yes you can! SMS, DATA Bundles and Hybrid Voice Bundles are available.
